PROGRAMS AND MINISTRIES OF THE CHURCH

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Bible study is essential for Christian growth and we provide a full range of classes in our Sunday School which begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.

v      Nursery is provided during Sunday School and worship

 You and your family are cordially invited to become a regular part of our Sunday School system.  There is no greater place to make new friends and have a wonderful time of fellowship as well as learn more about God’s Word.

 In addition to Sunday morning Bible study, the Pastor teaches a Bible class on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. prior to our prayer time each week.

MUSIC MINISTRIES

The Sanctuary Choir is the center of the music ministry.  The choir is a vital part of our worship services.  New members are always welcome each Wednesday evening beginning at 7:30 p.m.   We encourage those whom God has given the ability to sing to give that talent back for His glory.

In addition, if you do special music, we have a regular schedule for those who desire to participate in this ministry.  Contact the Music Minister for further information or call the Church Office.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES

In addition to a full range of Sunday School classes we have a Junior Church that meets every Sunday morning during our regular worship hour for a church service geared especially for children kindergarten through 5^th grade.  There are music activities, Bible stories, and Christ-centered curricula that are especially designed for children.  In addition each summer there are children and youth camps available as well as a week of Bible School especially for grade-school children.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

Bible Study is provided for our teenagers every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.   There are also regularly scheduled special activities.  These include sporting activities, skating, bowling, etc. as well as game nights here at the church.  These special activities are announced well ahead of time in the bulletin, church newsletter and on our web site.

MEN’S MINISTRIES

On the third Saturday of each month the men meet for a prayer breakfast.  This is a wonderful time of fellowship, devotion, and prayer for the men of our congregation.  In addition, they sometimes have special activities outside the church which are announced ahead of time.  Further information is available from the President of Men’s Ministries or by calling the office.

WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

The women meet for Bible Study every second and fourth Thursday of the month.  This study is usually suspended during the summer months but is replaced by special activities such as craft classes.  The ladies have a great time of fun, fellowship, and learning.  Further information is available from the Pastor’s wife or by calling the church office.

 SENIOR’S MINISTRIES

Our senior’s group, the GOLDEN BOOSTERS, meets every second and fourth Thursday each month.  The time and place varies and is announced in our bulletin ahead of time.  The senior’s enjoy different restaurants, pot-luck lunches, day trips, etc.  This is a very active group where you can make a lot of new friends.

  MISSION PROGRAMS

Northwest Baptist Church is an active and voluntary participant in the Cooperative Program of the Catalina Baptist Association, the Southern Baptist Convention of Arizona, and the Southern Baptist Convention.  We join with over 40,000 other Southern Baptist churches nationwide to support a world-wide effort of missions.

MEMBERSHIP

Members must have accepted Jesus Christ by a personal relationship as Savior and Lord.  They must be baptized by immersion.  We also believe every member is called of God to be actively involved in a ministry for which God has gifted and equipped them.
